VOICES Sonoma provides young people ages 12 to 26, including those aging out of foster care with family-like support, acceptance, and accountability as they set their own goals and pursue them across VOICES’ youth-led core programs. The LGBTQ Connection Program was created to increase the safety, visibility and well being of LGBTQ residents. The program provides a safe and trusted space to cultivate hubs of vibrant activities and caring community. We hold youth socials as spaces for young people ages 14-26 to have fun, have a safe space to be their authentic selves, make friends, to learn new things, and to just have a hangout space where others share their experiences. Many young people find support and confidence in these groups. Each group is centered around a different topic, rotating between different themes, such as art, mental health, healthy relationships, history, social justice, fun, and more! For information on upcoming socials, contact Miranda at miranda@lgbtqconnection.org or at 707-261-0191. Call or visit the website for more information on socials and other available services.
