The African Advocacy Network (AAN) is a San Francisco-based nonprofit founded in 2009 to serve the growing Diaspora of African and Afro-Caribbean immigrants by providing immigration legal services. Services are provided for low income African and Afro-Caribbean immigrants in the greater Bay Area working towards securing legal status in the United States. AAN staff and volunteers provide translation services for official government documents, affidavits, birth certificates, marriage certificates, school transcripts and any other documents required for immigration and non-immigration processing. AAN also provides interpretation services at the asylum office, doctor’s offices, and any private and public meetings throughout the Bay Area. AAN actively holds educational workshops on issues of importance to our clients and community members, including Know Your Rights. Visit the website to learn more and call for an appointment.
